Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and best automatic vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you up and running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can choose to have the robot cleaner with mop clean up the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only minor issue is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station features an LCD display that shows the need for maintenance, such as emptying debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand although we would like to be able to differentiate between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.

The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean around them without stumbling.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot best automatic vacuum and mop and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner (Going Here) is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry mess. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. In addition the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under furniture with a low profile which makes it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's clever features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.

There are a lot of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
