In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and can't clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who want both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to know whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also come with many additional features such as smart vacuum cleaner mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuum cleaner black friday vacuums often fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's the few robot vacuums I've tried that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture.
