This is a good option to consider if you're seeking a basic robot cleaner, but without the features of other models. It was a success in getting rid of pet hair, Cheerios and kitty litter on hardwood floors.

1. Roomba iRobot s9+

The s9+ robot vacuum is the most effective we've ever tested for cleaning carpets and hard floors. It has some of the strongest suction of any robot cleaner on the market, and does an excellent job of getting rid of pet hair. It can also be programmed to make multiple passes or alter the level of suction depending on the size of the room, something we haven't yet seen on other models. The app allows you to customize how it works and also choose when it begins working so that you can be present in the room when it whirls away.

Smart mapping generates a precise home map to help the S9+ navigate efficiently and plan routes. It is also self-emptying so you don't have to be there to help. It can also recharge itself in mid-clean. The s9+ was able navigate around obstacles like tables and power cables without any difficulty. It never lost its charge and did not get stuck. It doesn't have the safety features of the latest models, and could get tangled on rug tassels and other obstructions it is unable to see.

The s9+ features a flat front, unlike the majority of circular robots. It also has a squared-off face that makes it easier to reach corners than models with round fronts. It's also quieter than our previous combo irobot robot and is smaller than the Neato Botvac D7. Its price tag isn't inexpensive, but it's still an excellent value for the price given how well it performs and the fact that you don't need to worry about emptying the trash following the use. In addition, it's usually offered for sale during Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day.

2. IRobot Roomba J7+

The J7+ is among the smartest robot cleaners available. It's equipped with iRobot Genius technology that gives it the ability to recognize obstacles and maneuver around them, which means that you don't need to worry about it smacking into furniture or walls. It also slows down when it comes close to an object, so that it can gently scrub edges. This is especially helpful if you have small pets who leave messes.

Another excellent characteristic of the j7+ is that it can mop and vacuum using a specially designed mopsitter. When it notices that you're on a surface that requires mopping it will switch to the standard cleaning mode and deploys a little robot arm with an attached pad. It mopped the floor with a gentle touch, leaving my floors feeling and looking like they'd been properly cleaned.

After it's finished mopping the j7+, it returns to its dock and recharges. It then drives back to where it left off, and continues cleaning. It usually runs for 85 minutes, or more or less, in my house before having to return to the dock to recharge. It's not as impressive as the s9+ but still impressive for a device which can vacuum and mop.

It also features what iRobot calls Cliff Detect technology, which keeps it from taking a tumble down the stairs. It's a great safety feature for families with children.

The j7+'s onboard bin is small, which means you'll have return it to the dock to empty it often in the event that your home is big. However the j7+ is easy to store. The all-in-one Clean Base acts as a charging dock as well as an external dustbin, and an internal bin where the j7+ can deposit dirt.

The Shark iQ costs more than the iRobot Roomba j7+ but has superior app features and mapping and also superior performance on all surfaces. It also charges faster and is caught in rug tassels less frequently, which decreases the cost of recurring repairs. This model is unable to stay away from furniture or pet bowls. You need to use physical boundaries strips to shield the model from these items.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

With a sleek, premium design that is a perfect match for your home's decor the Roomba 694 is a great robot vacuum for those who need an easy-to-use, set it and forget it device. It identifies your habits for cleaning to offer up personalized schedules and also works with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants that let you start a clean with just the sound of your voice. The Eufy 11s is a compact, attractive robot vacuum that offers an excellent value for the money. It has a large dirt bin and can run for long periods of time, and is good at taking out pet hair. However, it's difficult to maintain and has some issues with navigation. It doesn't have an app companion and voice control, but it does have a user-friendly remote. It doesn't even send you a notice when the dust container is full, so you'll need to check it regularly.

The eufy has a number of advantages over the bObsweep Bob Pro however, in certain areas, it's not as effective as the iRobot Roomba 694. The iRobot is more durable, has less parts that require regular maintenance, has a HEPA filter and can last longer on a single charge, and delivers better cleaning performance on carpeted floors as well as carpets that have high and low piles. It also has a smarter navigation system that can maneuver around obstacles and has more advanced automation features, like boundary strips.

Although the eufy remains a decent choice, I recommend the iRobot Roomba 900 Series for the majority of users. The iRobot Roomba 900 Series is simpler to maintain, more durable and has a bigger dustbin and performs better on all surfaces. It is also more efficient to charge and has longer battery life.

The eufy robot is better than the ILIFE A4s but not as great as the top-end models like the Roborock S7 maxV Ultra. The iRobot is built better and has a bigger dust bin, and incurs fewer ongoing costs. It also has a more sophisticated navigation algorithm that can maneuver around obstacles and more advanced automation capabilities, like boundary strips. The iRobot can also take care of pet hair more efficiently, and it's easier to maintain than the Eufy.
